I'd like to raise some money to help the people that this event was supposed to raise awareness for. The organizers have not asked for your donations directly, but instead, have asked to be aware. They have not taken it upon themselves to raise the money so I'm doing my part, however small or big that may be. Every single cent above the actual costs of printing and mailing the images to buyers will go to charity. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns or to place an order. After asking around and reading up a little bit on various charities doing work in Africa to help make poverty history, I've settled on World Vision as per Howard's suggestion. They are currently taking donations to help fight famine in Niger, West Africa. This is where your money will go. From World Vision: Right now in Niger, West Africa, an estimated 3.6 million people are in critical need of food. The United Nations reports that more than 800,000 children are suffering from hunger, including 150,000 children who show signs of severe malnutrition, after drought and locust swarms devastated crops throughout the country. The government of Niger has declared an emergency and is appealing for help. Please give what you can and tell feel free to spread the word to anyone who may be interested.
