Snow!

It snowed here in Philly today. Just a little more than a dusting in the city with an inch or so sticking to cars all around town. As I look outside the window on to the street below at Midnight, barely anything on the sidewalks and nothing on the street.

It was nice though. It reminded me that I do live in the northeast still. And from the looks of the shot above, there was enough snow to pack a few snowballs.

I stopped around Broad and Walnut St to get a shot of the Avenue of the Arts and I noticed something. Buildings get uglier the further south you go. I really can't stand the Symphony House.

Just before the snow hit, I put up some plastic over the top floor windows in our house. I was between 15' – 20' up in the air on a ladder. It went fairly smoothly and I did a pretty good job. I think I'm gonna put plastic over the windows in our living area as well. All the windows have single pane glass. It's not like it's too drafty in here, but everything helps eh? I didn't pull the plastic tight enough on the second window (ladder had to be placed a little awkwardly in between beams), but it's doing its job of keeping out the wind – I can hear it billow a bit against the window a bit. At only a few bucks for a 3-pack, it's a cheap way of staying a bit warmer in the cold northeast winter.

True, but when you get south of Washington, it changes and they start getting beautiful again.
