So Bush is in Mt. Vernon, VA today with French President Nicholas Sarkozy. Whatever. He made a phonecall to President Pervez Musharraf to say:

"My message was that we believe strongly in elections, and that you ought to have elections soon, and you need to take off your uniform," Mr. Bush said he told Mr. Musharraf. "You can't be the president and the head of the military at the same time."

Well, technically Dubya is the president of the United States and, according to Article II Section 2 of the Constitution, the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces.

Am I expecting too much to think that this guy knows what he's in that fan-cay office for? Also, Musharraf stopped wearing his green brown army fatigues several years ago in favor of western suits. That's him at left on The Daily Show a couple months ago. And that's Dubya at right in his flyboy outfit. Just sayin'.

The elections, that's another story.
