Photoshelter Panel Discussion 2007

I learned A TON from watching the above video from the 2007 Photoshelter conference panel. It was extra cool because my former boss, George Pitts, while I was an intern at VIBE magazine was one of the panel participants. He's just about the coolest guy I've ever met. Always calm, incredibly smart. It took 3 summers for him to start leaving Post-It notes on my desk with my name on it instead of "intern" but I felt it was quite the compliment.

The panel takes on issues of [micro]stock photography, copyright, getting started and getting your work seen by editors among others. The answers are thoughtful and incredibly insightful. I recommend watching this hour-plus long video if you're a current photographer or are considering getting into it.
