Super Bowl XLI

It was a sloppy game played in sloppy conditions, but not as bad as other rainy games due to the pristine nature of the nice and unused turf down in Miami.

The halftime show was awesome. Prince played the hits and oh man, 'Purple Rain' was unreal. Dude just wails on the guitar. And I gotta bring up an oft-quoted Chris Rock line:

Remember when we was young everybody used to have these arguments about who's better, Michael Jackson or Prince? Prince won!

As far as the commercials went, Blinq has a live roundup. For me, my two faves were the beard combover [I'm a sucker for Jim Gaffigan] and the Robert Goulet piece. I think I liked the Goulet piece simply because it made me think of Will Ferrell's imitation of Goulet.

As my girlfriend so perfectly pointed out, this kills any chance of us getting the SB here in Philly. The rain affected the game so much that she (and I) doubt the NFL will allow any more non-dome games.. Although I sort of liked it and would love to see a SB in the snow!
