Durham Literacy Center

Some info about a DLC (Durham Literacy Center) that actually needs our help and I'd love to see get some help. Read more about the mold problems the DLC is having down in Durham over at my friend Brian's blog here.

Brian used to work at the DLC down in North Carolina and saw, first hand, the good they do.

    Thanks for blogging about this Albert. I heard last night from the DLC Exec Director that someone sent them a $5k check recently. Could be from all the blogging and newspaper articles. :)

    It was good to see a the people that attended the Philly Cares Day. I don't know if you went , but it was good to see people give a hand to the struggling schools in our city. They need to have this every two months at these schools. The schools are 100 yrs old, there is no recycling program that's being enforced, our children are ODing on cheese doodles and sodas in a cafeterias. Who do they turn to for help??
