Sarah Stolfa: The Regulars

I read about Sarah Stolfa back in June of 2004 just as we moved down here from NY. I saw her photos in the NYT Magazine section. Incredible images of bar patrons using ambient bar lighting. A Drexel student with three years behind the lens. Goes and wins a nationwide contest and bam, she's a hit.

Now, she's up at Yale doing her thing, but she's left behind a nice show over at the Gallery 339 over on Pine/21st Sts titled The Regulars. I spoke to the Doc from The All Spin Zone Tuesday night at Drinking Liberally [I made it down for wings!] and he was telling me how I had to go see the show.

Stolfa's show at Gallery 339 goes on through November 11th so there's time to still catch it at the gallery which is open Tuesday to Satruday 10a – 6p. I won't have time for at least a week to catch it, maybe longer. But it's on my short list of things to do when I have some free time to explore the city.

I've never been inside this gallery, but I've biked by it tons of times. It's a cool looking spot. I gotta find some time to head on over there.
