New Google Reader

Thank you Karl for pointing out the new UI for Google Reader. I love it!

I was using the old gReader sparingly, but this new one, awesome. I despise Bloglines with a passion. I think their UI is clunky and horrible. I hate it. I used Mozilla Thunderbird as my email client at the old job and its integrated RSS reader. But at the new gig, we use Outlook. Also, I unfortunately don't have time to be reading blogs all day anymore. But when I do, it'll be with the new gReader. It rocks.

The 'shared items' section is weird though. I just stuck up a recent story up on there to see how mine looked. Not sure how much use it'll be. Sorta like a blog post with no description, just a bare link.

Ever find time to install Gregarius the open source server based RSS reader? It has some themes that are pretty good.

Yo, first off, enjoyed your piece on Ortliebs, shitty service sucks, and yes, it's all in the details. When it comes to feed readers though, you should definitely check out netvibes.com, it's so simple and makes so much sense it's ridiculous. Techcrunch agrees. Just thought from a user who enjoys quality web engineering. Take it easy.
