Neighborhood Networks is holding a series of evenings with the 2007 Mayoral candidates and the first one is tomorrow night at the Irish Pub [2007 Walnut St] from 7p – 9p. Former city councilman Michael Nutter and former citiy controller Jonathan Saidel will be the first to participate in the series. The event is free to the public.

I don't know too much about the race nor the candidates, but I plan on being there and seeing these two [and the rest when they come to the events] in person. Maybe even ask a question or two.

Being that Philadelphia is the fifth largest city in the United States, being the mayor is a pretty big deal. Having a chance to be a part of the dialogue leading up to the election is one that shouldn't be taken for granted by either side. I don't have any favorites just yet, but there's plenty of time [and hopefully plenty of events] to sort that all out.
