My Face in the Metro

Friday's Metro will have inside, my mug and a link [what do you call a print to online shout out?] to this bloggy blog in some sort of featured blog section. I haven't picked up the Metro since I stopped working for PW where I had to keep track of the ads and scan for new advertising opportunities in the various Philly area publications. I don't pick it up on the way to the train as I sleep intermittenly during my twenty minute journey to West Philly. But I'll pick it up tomorrow to see what I see everyday, my face.

I may be in an article [written by a real in the flesh Philly based writer and not via AP] on Monday about the May 16th primary for my committeeperson race and the Senate race as well.

What will Dan McQuade have to say about me? I wonder if I'll look stupid/cheesy/funny. Probability: High. This is of no fault of the photographer who I'm sure is a nice guy [he's a Nikon user!], but me and my not liking my photo taken and acting squeamish when in front of the lens resulting in doofy faces. Either way, I'm sure he'll conveniently post a scan of my mug which I'll hotlink to here until I get home and get a chance to take a pic of the paper myself to properly post [and not hotlink]. Dan, I apologize in advance for jacking the image and Greg and Mishel, I apologize for eating your bandwidth.

Congrats! You are actually in Thursday's Metro, page 6, and online at philly.metro.us: "From postcard to political forum." Nice picture, by the way. I snagged a copy on the R5 and will scavenge a few more on the ride home.

you should point them to the photo you took of yourself (commenting on your hair style/length), which is a cute shot in which your camera-hatred reads as attitude…

congrats on the publicity. have shied away from anything that might wake my slumbering opponent, myself, but there might be something after the election on Races Against The Machine…
