years ago, Bill Cosby did some literacy work. he pointed out why some people can read very quickly and smoothly, including reading aloud, and why others. seem. to. stop. between. every. word.
The reason was is that the better readers habit is to read groups of words ate once, I think about 4or 5 words at a time, whereas the poorer readers read one word at a time, which produced the halting, robotic tone.
